Personal Presentation Standards

Master Chefs Hospitality is in the business of providing guest satisfaction through friendly and superior service, therefore it is important that all staff should strive towards the highest professional presentation standards at all times. In order to maintain this the following grooming and presentation requirements must be adhered to at all times:
Uniforms
You will be required to wear the designated uniform for service on every shift, all uniforms should be clean, ironed and worn appropriately. Any member of staff not dressed according to standards will be sent home.
Shoes must be clean and free from dirt. They must be of black leather, kept polished and free of scuffs.
Clean black trousers are to be worn.
You are required to wear the rest of the designated uniform as per the venue location.
Hair
Must be clean, dry and in good condition.
Must be neat styled, worn off the face and tied back in a bun if longer than collar length to abide by health department regulations.
Hair should not be brushed or combed in food service areas or in view of guests.
Beards and moustaches are acceptable, but must be maintained in a neat manner.
Trimmed hair cut for gents.
Nails
Nail polish of any colour is not acceptable in a food service environment.
False nails are not permitted.
Teeth (Dental Hygiene)
Employees are encouraged to maintain excellent dental hygiene and visit a hygienist at least once a year.
Under the PRSI Dental Scheme you are entitled to an annual scale and polish for approximately €15 with a registered dentist.
Make-up
Females are encouraged to wear subtle make-up.
Jewellery
Rings are to be limited to a wedding ring, engagement ring and/or one discreet dress ring.
Earrings for females are to be gold or silver, one per ear only permitted and should be discreet style only (no larger than a 2c piece - dangle or chunky earrings are not permitted).
Earrings are not acceptable for males. Studs are permitted.
Necklaces cannot be visible.
Bracelets, anklets, visible body piercing (including eyebrow and nose piercing), friendship bands are not acceptable and must be covered at all times during service.
Tattoos
Visible tattoos are not permitted and must be covered at all times.
Chewing
Chewing gum is not permitted at any time while on duty.
Smoking
Smoking may only take place in the designated smoking areas. Where "smoke free" environments exist the policy must be strictly observed.
Hygiene regulations state that you must wash your hands after smoking. In addition please remember to freshen your breath before dealing with our guests.
